Western Canada High School hosts heroes and villains science decathlon

CALGARY — The Western Canada High School (WCHS) Science Club is hosting junior high and middle school students in a competition called Heroes & Villains: A Science Decathlon.

Teams of four students from junior high schools across the city race through Western Canada High School, using spy gadgets to fight crime in ten science based Challenges.

Students from nine Calgary schools (Langevin School, Connect Charter School, A.E. Cross School, Calgary Arts Academy, Fairview School, Sherwood School, Georges P. Vanier School, Harold Panabaker School, Valley Creek School, John Ware School and Louis Riel School) will participate in this fast-paced race around WCHS.

Media are invited to attend the competition and awards presentation.

Date: Tuesday, Jan. 31
Times: Event begins 9 a.m.
Awards presented 12:30 p.m.
