To parents/guardians of all Calgary Board of Education students,
Due to Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), you need to subscribe online if you want to continue receiving electronic messages on commercial school topics such as school fees, field trip costs, book sales, picture days, fun lunches and more.
Starting on Oct. 1, 2016, if you have not subscribed online, you will stop receiving these types of messages from your school and the Calgary Board of Education. You will still receive other messages such as absence notifications.
To subscribe, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/subscribe and enter your primary email address. Your primary email is the email where you receive school messages and that you use to log into My CBE Account, if applicable.
In addition, if you want to receive any text messages sent by your school or the Calgary Board of Education, you also need to opt-in for texts.
To opt-in for text messages, use your cell phone to text the word YES to the six-digit number 724665. (The cell number you use must be on file at your school.)
Alternatively, you can opt-in by replying YES (or Y) when you receive a text from our system on Sept. 1.
If you need to update your contact information, please tell your school. For more information visit www.cbe.ab.ca/subscribe.
If you have already subscribed and opted-in, thank you.
