Unique Pathways & Off-campus Education
Dual Credit - Pre-Employment Auto Body
In partnership with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), this Pre-Employment Auto Body program prepares students to enter the workforce and become an Auto Body Technician apprentice. This program provides an alternative entry into the auto body industry.
Auto body technicians specialize in repairing and restoring vehicles damaged from accidents or wear. They work with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and fiberglass, to repair frames, replace parts, and restore a vehicle's appearance and functionality. In this program, students will gain valuable industry-specific knowledge and experience, giving them a competitive edge when entering the workforce or continuing their education in automotive technology.
Students will learn safe auto body prep and detail practices and procedures. Hands-on practice includes substrate preparation, application of fillers and undercoats, sanding, taping and masking, installation and detail, component removal, safety and tools.
See the program page, course outline, and the SAIT
