Now in her second term serving Wards 6 & 7 on the Calgary Board of Education, Patricia brings a broad and balanced perspective to the role of Trustee. A former teacher, she has taught in Edmonton and Calgary-area public schools and served as an instructor at the University of Calgary’s Werklund School of Education.
Patricia holds both a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) and a Master of Education (Science) from the University of Alberta. She is also a long-time community volunteer and former CBE parent.
Patricia believes a strong, inclusive public education system benefits everyone—that every child deserves access to excellent learning opportunities and the supports needed to succeed. She is committed to working collaboratively with fellow trustees, CBE administration, government, parents and community partners to continue strengthening Calgary’s world-class public education system.
Originally from Edmonton, Patricia and her husband Paul have called Calgary home for over 25 years, raising their three children (and cats). She enjoys being a sports mom, reading a great book, and spending time outdoors—especially when it’s warm!
