Operating Budget for Next Year
In February 2025, the Government of Alberta announced its 2025 budget.
In the coming weeks, the CBE will receive its 2025-26 funding profile which provides a detailed breakdown of provincial funding specifically for the Calgary Board of Education.
As part of the budgeting process, Administration presented a Budget Assumptions Report to the Board of Trustees on April 8, 2025. The repoort lays out the CBE’s operating revenues and expense assumptions that will be incorporated into the budget.
On April 10, schools received their individual funding allocations. Each school then plans for the teachers, education assistants, and other staff who will be needed to support the students in their schools.
A detailed budget report for 2025-26 will be presented to the Board of Trustees in May.
