Operational Review 2017

The Calgary Board of Education welcomes an operational review of our system by the Minister of Education.

The CBE is confident in our sound financial practices and budget history. We are committed to being fully transparent. Documents requested by the review team will be posted publicly here. Many of the documents are already on our website; however this will enable documents to be linked centrally.

We submit all required financial information to the Ministry monthly, quarterly and annually. We continue to receive clean audits that show our financial results are fully compliant with legislation, regulation and Canadian accounting standards.

We hope that through this review, the Minister will gain a better understanding of the operational complexities that exist within such a large and diverse school system and the financial constraints under which we operate. We are extremely proud of the work staff do each day across the system to ensure students are at the forefront of everything we do.
