Immunizations
The Calgary Board of Education supports the Alberta Health Services’ school-based program as an opportunity for families to have their eligible children receive their routine immunizations.
Schools will send home an AHS consent form along with an information sheet for each vaccine recommended for the student. Immunizations are not given in school without consent from a parent or legal guardian.
We encourage families to speak to their health care provider or AHS at 811 if they have questions, concerns or need more information about immunizations for their children.
The Calgary Board of Education does not require vaccinations or proof of immunizations to attend school
