CALGARY — Stanley Jones school is the lucky recipient of one of 150 ‘150th Celebration Gardens’ being distributed across Canada. 1000 red and white tulips are now in bloom. Public and media are invited to attend the blooming ceremony as the school community celebrates Canada’s 150th birthday.
Containing 1000 tulip bulbs, the international symbol of friendship and an enduring symbol of our national ethos of kindness and hospitality, the 150th Celebration Garden is a terrific way to say “Happy Birthday” to Our Home and Native Land.
The Garden was awarded by the Canadian Garden Council in collaboration with Vesey’s Bulbs of Prince Edward Island, in celebration of Canada’s sesquicentennial in 2017.
Media are invited to attend and photograph the school celebration.
