CALGARY – The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Gordon Hoffman as the tenth recipient of the CBE’s Legacy Award. The award will be presented to him at the public board meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Gordon Hoffman is a Calgary lawyer and graduate of Central High School who has made a significant and lasting difference in the lives of countless Albertans. For four decades, he has been at the heart of the volunteer community in Calgary. He has served as chairman, co-chairman, director and often founder of close to 100 charitable and community organizations.
The CBE Legacy Award celebrates public education in Calgary and the individuals who have contributed to our communities. In every corner of the city, across the country and beyond, CBE alumni have made a lasting impact.
Public education makes a difference in our communities, our country and our world. Legacy Award recipients embody the work of the public education system and represent the legacy of the CBE: preparing students for life, work and inspiring life-long learning.
