CALGARY — Kindergarten registration for the 2019-20 school year is now open at all Calgary Board of Education elementary schools. Kindergarten is the start of an exciting adventure for children and families.

To be eligible to start kindergarten in September 2019 children must be at least four years old on or before March 1 of this year.

“Parents are encouraged to register in person at their designated school or alternative program school in the next few weeks to help principals with planning and preparing for next year,” says Warren Johnson, supervisor, Early Learning.
To register their child, parents should take the registration form that is available on the CBE website (www.cbe.ab.ca) along with their child’s birth certificate or passport and proof of their address to the school.

“Our schools are open to all children and are committed to embracing every student in a safe and welcoming environment,” says Johnson.
