CBE proudly stands as a place of inclusion and compassion, honouring and acknowledging the courageous journeys of refugees seeking safety and hope in our city. World Refugee Day is recognized annually on June 20; the 2024 World Refugee Week theme is ‘Our Home,’​ which reminds us that home can be more than one place and finding it can be a journey. ​
