The Ross Glen Scholarship was established at EducationMatters to celebrate the partnership between RGO Products Ltd. and Lester B. Pearson High School to reward students who are pursuing a career in the skilled trades or post-secondary studies. With the recipients of the award already having participated in Work Experience and/or Registered Apprenticeship Programs, these students are well on their way to success in adult life and this award gives them a little extra boost to get there!
Mr. Glen is a well-known philanthropist who has been inducted in the Calgary Business Hall of Fame. Mr. Glen earned this prestigious honour because he “exemplifies the true character of Alberta through his unwavering spirit; vision and determination, he has set the benchmark for business excellence as both citizen and mentor in our global community.” (Calgary Herald, April 27, 2016).
This scholarship is intended to assist students who may be in financial need, and who have a passion for the trades or post-secondary studies and thereby carrying on Mr. Glen’s legacy at Lester B. Pearson and in the community.
