Update | Chief Superintendent Recruitment
Jun. 25, 2018

Before the summer break, we wanted to provide you with an update on the recruitment for a new Chief Superintendent.
In early 2018, the Board of Trustees hired a recruitment firm to begin the search for a new chief. In March, the government announced it was working on a new compensation framework for superintendents. No new superintendent contracts could be approved by the Minister of Education until the Superintendent of Schools Regulation came into effect on June 1, 2018. The terms and conditions set out in the regulation have impacted this recruitment and it will therefore take longer than anticipated.
To support the transition, David Stevenson has agreed to continue in his role as Chief Superintendent. The Board extends its gratitude to Chief Stevenson for his support and leadership.
We will continue to keep staff and our community informed.
