Dear Parents/Guardians,

As we draw closer to the end of the school year, we feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the teachers and support staff who kept our students learning and our schools open, clean and welcoming. Gratitude for the leadership and flexibility of our school administrators, who managed their teams through what seemed to be never-ending periods of uncertainty. Gratitude for parents who found any number of creative ways to support their school communities and to be an important part of their children’s learning. And finally, gratitude that our youth were able to return to activities that enrich their learning experiences such as sports, celebrations, social activities, clubs and graduations.

Over the past month, we have watched with pride as students, whose entire high school experience has been affected by the pandemic, walk joyfully across the stage to accept their diplomas. Graduation is always a significant milestone, but this year, the tears have flowed freely, and our hearts are especially full.

For those of you who are now ending your journey with the CBE, know that your children have been well prepared for the challenges of life, work and continued learning. For those of you whose journey is just beginning, we can’t wait to welcome your child back for the 2022-23 school year.
