Cost of Pr​o​​g​​ram​

We are grateful for the support of community and funder partners​ who put this program within reach of all Calgary teachers and students. Calgary Board of Education and Calgary Catholic School District schools pay $1250 and all other Calgary schools pay $1500 (including transportation). ​

How do Teachers Appl​​y?​

Any Calgary teacher can apply. Application information for the 2018-2019 school year will be available in the new year. In the application you would describe how you would plan an extended interdisciplinary study using the week at the site as a catalyst for year-long inquiry. Selections are not made on a first-come first-serve basis. For teachers new to the CC/OM experience, further questions will be answered and forms will be available at upcoming information sessions, in the new year. Dates yet to be determined.   • Teacher Proposal Writing Workshop (February​)
    Review proposal expectations and how to complete the application form

  • Site Specific Welcome (May after school)
    Initial opportunity for site familiarization, sharing of expectations and development of working relationships
  • A Day on Site (usually August)
    Immersion at the site and discovery of the rich resources
  • Setting up for Success Workshop (after school evening September)
    Immersion in and practicing the CC/OM philosophy
  • Practice and Preparation at School
  • First Planning Meeting (after school at your school 6-8 weeks prior to being on site)
    Collaboration with CC/OM Education Coordinator and Site Coordinator to connect the classroom to the community creating a custom designed week
  • Scheduling Meeting (2- 3 weeks prior to being on site)
    Finalize the schedule for the week and discussion of roles and responsibilities
