Susan Vukadinovic was elected in 2021 in Wards 8 and 9 in south central Calgary.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree (graduating at the top of her class in Political Science) and an MBA, both from the University of Alberta. Susan began her career as a policy analyst, including stints with Executive Council (the Premier’s Office) in Edmonton and the City Manager’s Office in Calgary. After starting a family, she transitioned to project consulting for the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. She has been a community leader and mobilizer for 20 years, and a long-time advocate for children, education, and equity.
Like tens of thousands of other parents in Calgary, Susan and her partner have chosen to enroll their kids in CBE schools because the CBE has some of the best people in education in the country and CBE students score among the top in international standardized tests.
Susan ran for Trustee because protecting Calgary’s world-class public-education system requires continuous improvement and a champion who has the energy and experience to fight hard for Calgary’s kids. Susan is thrilled to be given this opportunity by the voters of Wards 8 and 9.
On the personal side, Susan dutifully chauffeurs her three school-aged children to hockey, ski racing and other endeavours, and imposes upon them a strict regime of piano practice. She plays a mediocre violin herself. She intermittently identifies as a jogger, and acknowledges that she should take her dog for more walks.
