Collective Agreements

The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) respects all employees and recognizes our shared desire to achieve student and system success. Through fair and lawful negotiations, the CBE seeks to arrive at equitable employment contracts with all employees that align with our commitment to financial sustainability.

The CBE has written contracts with most of our employees. These agreements define the terms and conditions of employment.

The agreements below are in PDF format. You can use the Table of Contents to go to specific sections or perform basic word searches to find information.

The CBE has enjoyed positive relationships with employee groups for many years. Our relationship is built on a foundation of mutual respect.

The majority of CBE employees are in one of four bargaining units.
