2Sc​​hool​: An Urban Experience

CBE ​Educatio​n Centre

2School brings together teachers, students and community experts for a week-long curriculum-based experience utilizing the downtown urban environment as our classroom. This program is situated at the CBE Education Center in the Beltline, and encourages Calgarians to learn, talk about, and celebrate public education and our vibrant rich inner city neighbourhoods and the many exciting things they have to offer!

City EcoAction School​

Ralph Klein Park or Inglewood Bird Sanctuary

City EcoAction School provides students and teachers with skills that contribute to a healthy and caring city by connecting to urban parks and natural areas. Environmental sustainability is promoted at a community level by encouraging the application of sustainable ‘eco-actions’.

Municipal B​​uilding

At City Hall School, students and teachers are immersed in civic governance, participate in the public realm and explore local history within neighbouring communities. Students discover that they have the right to be at City Hall and to ask questions of those in charge.

Calgary YMCA – Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge or Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton

Healthy Living School focuses on the many ways active living contributes to a vibrant community and highlights kid’s roles within that community. Teachers and students will be immersed in the spirit of the YMCA, where all are welcome and belong. Tied in with their core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility, the experiences at Healthy Living School, will develop and build capacity for students to belong, grow, thrive, and lead.

Welcome to Arts Commons where our building becomes the springboard into curiosity and imagination. The place where students and teachers are immersed in opportunities to explore the Performing and Visual Arts as it connects to each classes' curriculum.​

Jube School ​

The Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium

Jube School is a week-long program of personalized, interactive, arts-based learning rooted in elements of each class’ curriculum. Creative explorations in the technical, visual, and performing arts will inspire learners and educators to make personal connections in, through, and about the arts.

Museum School

Glenbow​ Mus​eum

This program is currently not offered while the Glenbow Museum is closed for its exciting and extensive building renovations. Please check back here regularly for updates regarding Museum School.​

Library School

Calgary Public Library (Central Location)

Library School, hosted at the Central branch of the Calgary Public Library, offers students and teachers a chance to explore a big question in a rich environment of local art, books, Indigenous placemaking, and learning through play.

Science School​

TELU​​S Spark

At Science School teachers and students embark on a journey that allows them to question and challenge, discover and grow, collaborate in new ways to solve problems and ultimately develop a passion for learning and science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Seed School​

The Mustard Seed

A week at The Mustard Seed will engage students in hands-on learning about poverty, homelessness and social issues, thereby challenging students to consider their role in engaging in community.

Stampede S​​chool​

Stam​pede Park

A landmark of Alberta’s rich history, Stampede Park offers a unique environment for teachers and students to participate in experiences that cultivate appreciation of western heritage and values. At Stampede School, students work alongside experts, making the past come alive, the present relevant and the future full of possibilities.

Zoo Sc​hool

Wilder Institute / Calgary Zoo

Zoo School provides teachers and students with in-depth exposure to both local and global plants and animals. Through hands on experiences and interactions with experts, students can become emotionally engaged with the conservation issues facing our planet.​
