In the interest of transparency, employee compensation information is provided below.

The Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act, sub-sections 11(1) and 11(2), encourages but does not require education bodies to disclose compensation information.

Compensation information is provided in a format that reflects the average annual salaries of our employees. Please note, “FTE” refers to full time equivalent. An FTE is a full time job for one person. Alternatively, two or more individuals could share an FTE by each working part time. Also keep in mind that many of our salaries are based on a ten-month schedule.

Bargaining unit staff comprise approximately 98 per cent of all CBE staff. Compensation information is available for those employees through our various collective agreements. This includes salary grids for our teachers, support staff, CUPE, Trades, and exempt staff. In addition, our annual financial statements disclose the compensation paid to the Board of Trustees as well as the chief superintendent, the corporate treasurer, and the corporate secretary.

Cost of Benefits

Non-cash benefits across all employees average approximately 23 per cent of salary. The actual rate per employee will vary depending on the collective agreement, personal circumstances, and other factors.
