Community Partnerships Help Students Thrive

The success of CBE students at Skills Canada reflects the dedication of students, teachers, coaches and families, as well as the support of community partners.

Through EducationMatters, Suncor's generous investment in Career Pathways helped make it possible for students to participate in the Provincial Skills Canada Competition in Edmonton. Investments like these help ensure students have access to meaningful learning experiences, specialized programming and career-connected opportunities that prepare them for success in an evolving workforce.

Looking ahead, Calgary will host the 2027 Skills Canada National Competition at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park, welcoming the country's top skilled trades and technology students. Hosting the national competition will provide students with a unique opportunity to celebrate excellence, showcase Calgary's career pathways and workforce development initiatives, and inspire the next generation of skilled professionals.
