Supports newcomer students with LP3* or higher who still need intensive academic language and skill development as they continue to work toward high school completion. The basis for this course would be the 3-credit version of CBE’s locally developed course: Academic Achievement through English Language Development. Instruction will focus on the literacy skills required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding in English, science, mathematics, and social studies.

Families who have submitted a Summer School course request through their high school counsellor or junior high school administrator will have been notified by email the week of June 1 - 5, 2026 as to whether or not they have been registered. Ensure you are checking your junk/spam folder as well as your inbox for these notifications.
