Julie Hrdlicka has been the CBE trustee for Wards 11 & 13 since 2015.
Julie is passionate that every child has the same opportunity as the next to quality education. Building a strong inclusive system that supports students with diverse and complex needs is incredibly important to her. She believes that we build strong school communities by creating space for dialogue, listening to all views and generating solutions together. Every voice matters.
Julie has a degree in International Relations from the University of Calgary. She has made a career as a human rights, social justice and environmental advocate and community builder. Over the years, Julie has been committed to working on local issues of poverty, childcare, gender inequality and sustainability. Julie is passionate about building strong community and helping to empower citizens young and old, to find and use their 'voice'.
During her downtime, Julie can be found exploring her community and finding every opportunity to be silly with her partner Sean and her two young children.
