Follow the prompts below to complete the registration process for children
new to CBE. Current CBE students’ do not need to apply for new student registration. The current school assigns the next year school and grade. If you wish to change schools programs or apply for alternative program for next year start here.
Registration is
not determined on a first come, first served basis. However, should the school have a program in
lottery, the registration form must be submitted by the deadline to be included.
Registration and admission to schools in CBE are governed by the
Education Act .
Every child in Calgary has a designated school based on their home address and the program they choose.

Children must be at least five years old as of Dec. 31, 2024 to start kindergarten in fall 2024.

Children must be at least six years old as of Dec. 31, 2024 to start Grade 1 in 2024-2025.
