Monetary Donations (Cash)
EducationMatters, CBE's Trust and Foundation, processes all of the monetary donations for CBE. EducationMatters is a registered charity.
There are three ways you can donate:
1. Donate to a school community campaign | Support your child's school or choose from many schools that are raising funds to support and enhance student success.
2. Donate to a system-wide initiative | These initiatives support things like food security, field trips, student awards, literacy, arts and more.
3. Become a monthly donor | A regular gift allows EducationMatters to plan for the future.
Online donations are the preferred method for donations of $20,000 or less. Cheques can be made out to EducationMatters and mailed to: EducationMatters, PO Box 13122 Calgary Beltline, Calgary, AB T2R 1C6
Tax receipts will be issued by EducationMatters for monetary donations of $20 or more. If you're making a donation of more than $20,000 please contact EducationMatters.
An administration fee of 3.5 per cent is charged on the total amount of the donation being processed, which is similar to other charities. This fee helps to cover the cost of processing the donation and overhead costs that they incur in order to do that work.
In-kind Donations (Goods)
Please complete this form | In-kind Donations Form
If you have multiple items in different categories, please fill out the form for each item. This will help us to process your offer more efficiently.
We are always happy to receive donations that benefit our students and schools. However, we may not be able to accept all items given the ever-changing needs of our schools.
If your donation is not directed to a specific school, it will be posted on an internal webpage, so any school in need of that item will have the opportunity to request it. Donation offers will be posted for one month. If you do not hear from us within one month of filling out the In-kind Donations Form it means we are not able to accept your item.
CBE will not issue tax receipts for in-kind donations.
Thank you for thinking of CBE students and schools!
