CALGARY, AB – Three Calgary Board of Education (CBE) schools are celebrating their official openings this month. Mahogany, Bayside and Lakeshore schools opened their doors to students and staff in the fall of 2022 in the communities of Mahogany and Auburn Bay. Official school opening celebrations mark an exciting milestone for the new schools and the communities in which the schools are located.
The events will feature speeches and student performances showcasing their work and school spirit. The event will also include the traditional ringing of the school bell.
Media are invited to attend the celebrations and school tours. Dignitaries, school principals and teachers will be available for interviews. All attendees will be available for photos.

Bayside School Official Opening Event
Date: Friday, March 17, 2023
Time: 9 – 10:30 a.m.

The formal event will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a student-led school tour with dignitaries from 10 – 10:15 a.m.
Lakeshore School Official Opening Event
Date: Monday, March 20, 2023
Time: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
