Backpacks delivered by Total E&P Canada ready to be sent to CBE schools.
For the tenth consecutive year, the CBE’s Backpacks for Kids Program has been another incredible success, thanks to the generosity of Calgarians. The annual campaign sees backpacks filled with necessary school supplies donated and distributed to CBE students who are in need of support as they begin the school year.
For the 2016-2017 school year over 3400 backpacks have already been sent to 84 different schools and CBE sites to ensure all students, regardless of their personal circumstances, have the tools and conditions they need to be successful learners.
The Backpacks for Kids Program is made possible through the generous donations and investment of time from a variety of corporate sponsors and individuals. The CBE would like to thank Staples, TELUS Community Outreach, Costco, Total E&P Canada, Calgary Parking Authority, Stephen's Backpacks Society, Mac's Convenience Store Calgary, Waste Management of Canada Corporation, Bell, ATB Financial, Sterling Western Star Trucks, as well as the numerous individual donors.
