Update | Monday, Feb. 25 5:00 p.m.

Our Facilities and Environmental Services team has been working at the school all day to help restore power and heat to the building. There was some flooding in the electrical room that has disrupted the electricity. At this time we do not have an estimated time when the work will be completed so we can resume classes.

We will make a decision about the school opening by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow (Feb. 26) morning. At that time we will send another email, as well as update the school website with details.

Bowness High School will be closed today, Monday, Feb. 25.  The decision has been made to close the school to ensure the well-being of students as there is currently no power and limited heat in the building.

We are currently monitoring this situation closely and CBE Facilities and Environmental Services staff are onsite working on repairs.

We anticipate that the school will reopen tomorrow and we will inform parents as soon as we have more information.

We thank you for your patience as we work to resolve to this situation.
