Minister’s Youth Council is Accepting Applications

Alberta Education is recruiting students for the 2021/22 Minister’s Youth Council. The Council gives students opportunities to make an impact on education, build their leadership skills at the provincial level and leave a legacy that will last well into the future.

Junior and senior high school students, aged 14 to 19, with diverse interests, identities, backgrounds and perspectives from all regions of Alberta are welcome to apply.

Students must commit to three weekends for meetings held in Edmonton in September, February and May.

Students on the Minister's Youth Council share their diverse student perspectives and provide input on education topics. They bring a broad range of life experiences, knowledge and skills from all types of schools across Alberta.

The deadline for applications is March 24, 2021.
