CALGARY – Students from Stanley Jones School have been working with artist in residence, Stan Phelps, to create a mural at their school. On the afternoon of May 10 the school will proudly unveil the mural to the public.
The Grade 5 and 6 students from the Regular Program, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program and the All-Girls Program came together with Mr. Phelps and other students in the school, to create a mural that represents their learning community. The mural is a celebration of the diversity in the school and honours the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program that has been at the school for over 45 years.
Media are invited to attend the unveiling of the completed mural.
