West View School (Calgary Young Offender Center) and its satellite programs, employs 19.7 teachers, 2 education assistants, a career practitioner, a library technician, a justice liaison worker, a school secretary/office assistant, and an administrative secretary, and is accredited by Alberta Education. Academic continuity can be maintained for junior high and high school students while in custody. It is possible for students to complete Alberta graduation requirements for a high school diploma in that a wide range of academic and career technology studies courses are offered. Resident students may also take post secondary courses through distance learning opportunities provided by other Alberta institutions.
