Yellow School Bus

Yellow school bus route maps for the 2019-2020 school year are now available on the CBE website: www.cbe.ab.ca/busstop.

These routes have been created based on the addresses submitted before the pre-registration deadline in June. While CBE Transportation continues to accept registrations, changes to stops based on these new addresses will not be made until route changes are done after Thanksgiving. Students registered for transportation will need to access existing bus stops.

Parents/guardians who registered for yellow school bus transportation will receive a confirmation email in October. Transportation fees will be charged at that time for students that do not qualify for free transportation. You can cancel your transportation registration with no financial penalty before the end of October using MyCBE / PowerSchool or by replying the confirmation email.

Calgary Transit

Calgary Transit has increased the rate of their student bus passes to $77/month, effective September 2019. More information about 2019-20 transportation service levels and fees are posted on the CBE website.

Information about the Calgary Transit Pass Rebate for 2019-20 will be available later this fall. Please ensure you keep your bus passes to submit for rebate.

Future Potential Changes

Looking ahead, we know with the regulations coming later this fall from changes to the Education Act that there may be future changes to transportation eligibility or services levels and fees.  We will keep our families informed of any impacts on student transportation.
