​The CBE is proud to honour National Indigenous Peoples Day by sharing the stories of some of our major events, celebrations and learning opportunities. They brought Indigenous culture, traditions and ways of knowing and being into our schools and our community.

  • Indigenous Students’ Grade 9 Transition Ceremony
    This spring, the Indigenous Education Team invited all Indigenous students in Grade 9 to participate in a traditional ceremony to celebrate and honour their transition to high school.
  • CBE Indigenous Student Graduation
    On June 4, we celebrated the academic achievements of Indigenous graduates at the annual Indigenous Student Graduation Celebration.
  • The CBE Traditional Pow Wow
    We continued our tradition of celebrating the success of all CBE students in the spirit of reconciliation at the Annual Traditional Pow Wow held on May 16.
