We continued our tradition of celebrating the success of all CBE students in the spirit of reconciliation at the Annual Traditional Pow Wow held on May 16. This event nurtures the relationship that CBE has with families, community, partners and students through an honouring of traditions and Indigenous ways of knowing. Once again, Hal Eagletail emceed the event, Adrian Goulet filled the role of Arena Director, and Reg and Rose Crowshoe advised. Elder Reg Crowshoe sang an honour song for CBE students, while teachers stood to acknowledge and show support for the success of students. More than 1500 CBE staff, students and community members attended the Pow Wow. Thank you to the 50 staff and student volunteers who supported this traditional celebration of Indigenous culture, healing, and spiritual growth.
