CALGARY – Stanley Jones School and Alice Jamieson Girls’ Academy are celebrating students’ visual representation of the school’s 106-year history.
With the support of Artists in Residence Stan Phelps and Blackfoot Artist, Ryan Willert, students have created graphic novels and 12 murals representing various decades of the school’s history. These murals will become part of the existing City of Calgary historical walking tour in the Renfrew community.
Media are invited to attend the unveiling and interview students, school staff and the artists involved.
