A Message from our Chief Superintendent – Safe, Positive, Inclusive, Equitable and Welcoming Learning and Working Environments

Jun. 05, 2020

We acknowledge that racism exists in society. As a learning organization, we have a responsibility to support our students and families as we learn to confront racism and disrupt old patterns of thought and behaviour. Working towards equality and a society free of prejudice and racism is work we must engage in together.

At the Calgary Board of Education, we affirm our commitment to providing safe, positive, inclusive, equitable and welcoming learning and working environments for students and staff.

Recognizing the full range of uniqueness in our students and staff is central to our work. We will continue to engage students, staff and families as we work together for the benefit of all.
