Annual PC Corp Toques and Mittens Event Brings Many Smiles

​PC Corp, in partnership with the CBE, hosted their 6th Annual Mitten and Toque Extravaganza on Dec. 12! Each year a different school is selected to be the recipient of toques and mittens for each of their students.

Douglas Harkness School was delighted to have this year’s event. PC Corp (Tessy Pavlatos, Jesse Popowich and Eldon Morrison aka Santa Claus) and CBE staff (Santa’s elves) were at the school in the early morning to transform their learning commons into a toque and mitten store complete with holiday décor and music. Students from each class in the k-6 school stopped by to choose a pair of mittens and a toque, visit with Santa and enjoy some popcorn and a candy cane.

Santa’s elves had a very busy morning helping more than 300 students pick the perfect winter wear. This is a wonderful way to get into the season of giving and see so many children’s faces light up with joy.
