The CBE is proud to honour National Aboriginal Day by sharing the stories of some of our major events, celebrations and learning opportunities. They brought Indigenous culture, traditions and ways of knowing and being into our schools and our community.

Many people were inspired by funny, engaging and articulate speakers at the third Indigenous Education Speaker Series held at the Aboriginal Learning Centre on June 9.

The 3rd Annual Calgary Board of Education Traditional Pow-Wow was held on May 5, 2017 at Crescent Heights High School. The event, guided by Piikani Elder Reg Crowshoe, was a community celebration of success for all students in the spirit of reconciliation
