Apply by June 16 for School Bus Transportation
Families are now able to register for school bus service for the 2024-2025 school year. Service levels and proposed fees will remain the same as the current school year.
Registration is available using your
MyCBE account. (If you do not already have an account,
learn how to create one.)
Families must register by
Sunday, June 16 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.
We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.
Note:
Conditional ridership forms will be available after registration closes.

As part of our long-term, sustainable transportation system we no longer subsidize the costs of transportation from the larger CBE budget. We continue to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient transportation for students.
A confirmation email will be sent to all parents/guardians who have submitted a registration in September to confirm registration for the 2024-2025 school year. You can cancel your transportation with no financial impact by filling in the cancellation form before Sept. 30, 2024.
Alternate Addresses Requests
Families are able request a second address to their transportation registration for access to two bus stops and/or routes. This provides flexibility to access bus stops and routes to support childcare arrangements and changing family schedules.
You must register and complete the Alternate Address Request form in
MyCBE by the June 16, 2024 deadline. The cost of this request is $110.

Looking Ahead | Changes for 2025-2026 School Year
In Spring 2023, Alberta Education announced an increase in funding for school bus transportation and expectations for new service levels for school boards. These changes were originally set to take effect for the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year but last fall the Education Minister extended the deadline for implementation to Sept. 1, 2025. We continue conversations with Alberta Education, our service providers and schools about the impacts of changes to ridership and bell times. More information will be shared this fall.
